The Wedding Card Story

Aug 5th
"So, I have a business proposition for you."
"Tell me."
"I was thinking you can design the wedding card. It can be..."
"Ohhhh. I'm in!!"

Aug 22nd
"Something mallu, I think?"
"OK, I'll make some rough sketches for you. How mallu do you want it?"
"Let's not make it too elegant or anything. We need something a lil... whacky, maybe?"
"I'm on it."

Aug 31st
"Oye, that one's really nice!"
"OK, so here's what we're gonna do..."
(10 mins of laying it out)
"Sounds great. Let's do it!"
"You got it."

Sep 16th
"Chandybhaiyaaa! This is just not working out. I think I'll have to change the layout. And I can't put in the elephant anymore."
"So what've we got now?"
"OK... We'll have this here, and that there... But I don't think I'll have much time for tweaks if you don't like it."
"That sounds all right! I'm sure I will."
"Erm... we'll see."

Sep 18th
"This is brilliant! Good job, sis!"
"Anything you want me to change?"
"You're already spending waaay too much time on this..."
"It's your card. Tell me what you need, and I'll get it done."

Sep 29th
"I just got back from the printers. They didn't do what I asked them to do!"
"Does it still look OK?"
"It looks OK. But it's not what I wanted!"
"Good enough. You're already spending..."
"I'll fix it."

Oct 2nd
"Whew! It's finally fixed... and done."
"You turned out to be quite the designer!"
"I printed 76. Can I keep one?"
"Don't ask me. Just tell me."

To my Superstar Sis Ammu, who did the best job ever. Much love.

The world knows her as Sara. Read the design story on her blog.
